Another World is Possible: CEDAW in South Asia

With one fifth of the world's population, South Asia is a kaleidoscope of diversities and commonalities. One kind of disparity, however, pervades the entire region- discrimination against women. Taking the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) as a common tool for activism, Another World is Possible talks to those involved in the women's movements. The film takes the viewers on a seamless journey across the region with the aim to share different strategies-successes as well as failures- and documents changes in laws.
