Films d'Art was setup by Mushtaq Gazdar in 1967.

Our objective is to make high quality documentaries and dramas on wide ranging issues including development, human rights, education, women's rights, health, workers' rights, political documentaries, culture and heritage as well as corporate films.

Films d'Art has produced films in collaboration with diverse organizations including State Life, the World Bank, AED, UNICEF, PAWLA, Ministry of Women Development, National Rural Support Programme, Ministry of Education, CIDA, Japan Foundation, Ida Rieu, OMV Pakistan, FWBL, Sungi Development Foundation.

Mushtaq Gazdar

Mushtaq Gazdar (1937-2000) was born and educated in Karachi. During his career he scripted and directed more than 180 films on socially meaningful issues. These include his award winning documentaries, They are Killing the Horse, Song of Wishes, Concert on Footpath, Steel for Progress. more
